Houdini FX Artist

We are looking for a Houdini FX Artist for one of our projects. The candidate should be proficient with volume, RBD, particles and vellum simulations. Experience working in a USD pipeline is considered a plus.

As part of our FX department, you will work closely with the FX and CG Supervisors to deliver FX sequences to our Light department, as well as the Production Manager for scheduling and reviews.

Note that this can be an in-house and a remote position with a duration of about 7 to 8 months.

Expectations and responsibilities:

• Deliver shots/sequences while maintaining a clean streamline I/O respecting our internal pipeline
• Follow the visual style and address Director's notes accordingly
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Develop/maintain custom procedural setups and HDAs
• Able to work with tight deadlines, report back to production with schedule updates and adapt and suggest edits to hit targets and deadlines. 

Requirements:

• Strong skills with SideFX Houdini FX
• Experience with FX from features or Animation films.
• Experience working in teams
